This CD was inspired by a recent trip from the East coast to the West Coast.
Through the twist and turns of the mountains in the east and the west, the
natural beauty lends one to do reflection and meditation.
As I pass through life, it's trials and tribulations, often lead to twists and
turns that I was not prepared for, nor the peace I felt within me when when I
endured them.
The contradiction of this natural beauty of ourselves and the trials of
societal living, compelled me to compose this CD .
Through a simple journey, with the sometimes annoying twist and turns of driving
to the top of the valley, to stop and look back and see the beauty of the
journey, parallel many "tough roads" I travelled in my life.
Some of those roads I travelled were sure bumpy, with many twists and turns, and
I sure felt like I was climbing a mountain.
I get the same peace within, with this little mountain and valley I visit to "get
away". The twists and turns lead to a spectacular view of beauty, but only when
I endure the twists, turns and bumpy roads of getting there, as in life.
Although I have heard the saying a million times,
"Life is not about the goal, but about the journey."
The Road to Aquinas Cd by composer Paul Zaleski is considered some of his
best work to date. The haunting beautiful melodies were written at a time in
Paul's life where they was much turmoil and chaos. Paul clinged to his
instrumental music and constant awe of nature to help him through this
