Why know something about music?
It is known about music that:
everyone listens to her, some compose and perform;
modern music is created on the basis of theory, musical notation, knowledge of the secrets of harmonies, methods of construction, analysis of musical forms, the nuances of psychological impact;
musical culture did not arise overnight, but went a long way before becoming what it is now;
when music was considered exclusively a tool for subjugating the unknown, the forces of nature, spirits, a source of spiritual energy of society;
she went through various stages of development, from purely ecclesiastical art, canonicity and collectivity to individualism;
separation of the process of performance and composition greatly contributed to the acceleration of its development;
in ancient states, harmonies were taken as the basis for understanding the order of things, various elements of the world order were assigned musical tones, on the basis of music in society, harmony and elements of governing the country were built;
childbirth was assigned its own sound sign. For example, and now not only are known, but Greek frets are also used (Dorian, Ionian …);
different nations have their own systems for constructing music and musical signs, notes;
it is an essential factor in the influence and formation of society;
it is a powerful information and energy source. This is a force that can be accumulated and moved in space with great speed.
Music is not only written, performed and listened to, it is also discussed, sold and ripped off. Of course, air, water and food are vital in the first place. However, if you think about it, but rather try to spend a long time without listening to music, it becomes clear that this is not easy, almost impossible. Will pull to turn on something, or turn on someone. Music sounds everywhere: at home and at workplaces, in public transport and shops, from the windows of apartments and passing cars. Even when traveling to nature, we do not leave the radio alone. If you study the history of music, then it becomes clear even more important that it has. Therefore, there is nothing surprising in the keen interest in musical culture, in the scale of discussion of near-musical themes, in the high dynamics of news releases. Apparently, people are really interested.
You can learn more about music in the section on the theory, aesthetics, meaning, history of music. If we talk about history, its knowledge gives us the most important information about us, about the processes going on in society, guides us, teaches us to correctly understand what is happening at present and make adequate decisions. If we talk about knowledge of the theory of music, the question arises of how deeply it should be studied. It’s impossible to go too far without knowledge, because of knowledge paralyzed in the framework of the teaching is also useless. To create truly “divine” music, by definition, cannot be done purely technically, only by the brain. This can make the composer’s subconscious. Without the energetic – informational, emotional component, in my opinion and, as experience shows, neither composition nor performance is possible. As they say about the work of unprofessional artists who did not study in special schools, “without stamps”, “not limited”, “free”, “create”. However, elementary, not knowing notes, chords, frets, rules, not knowing how to play a musical instrument, not play music, if only to sing.
In everyday life we hear a lot of different kinds of music, we get knowledge about it. But anyway, many interesting facts remain little known. For example, not many people imagine how such musical instruments of the peoples of the world sound like didgeridoo, bonang, tsabuna, hang. It is not known how music helps in healing, why plants develop better to music and why cows give more milk to Chopin’s music.

Given that music is an important part of our surrounding reality, not just strongly influencing people and society, but shaping them, the degree of losses from our own voluntary ignorance in this area is obvious.
